PHIL PHILLIPS’ XMAS PARTY

Phil Phillips (Piano)

Eleanor Keenen (Vocals)

Nick Newall (Guitar); Dave Smith (Guitar)

Paul Morgan (Bass)

Bobby Worth (Drums).

Leading the entertainment on this evening will be Phil Phillips. As we comment in our programme, when it comes to enjoyable musical entertainment, he never disappoints. He jointly presented our very first “Xmas Special” and is delighted to be joining us again.

Phil is a very respected pianist, composer and arranger. For this concert he is joined by Eleanor Keenen a much in demand vocalist and favourite with many big band leaders and a beautiful singer. Eleanor was lead vocalist with the Syd Lawrence Band for 14 years, as well as featured vocalist in 15 series of B.B.C. “Come Dancing” and also lead her own all girl band. Many of our regulars will remember her appearance with the “Jazz at the Village” Big Band in July.

Our featured saxophonist on this occasion and making his debut appearance at “Jazz at the Village” will be Nick Newall who during his career made numerous appearances with The Kinks and The Mike Cotton Sound as well as running the Dark Blues Party Band for over 25 years.

Making up the Rhythm section are two of  our local musicians, Dave Smith, an accomplished player of the guitar and resident drummer and co-organiser of “Jazz at the Village”, Bobby Worth and with them another favourite at Felpham, Paul Morgan on bass.
