The wonderful sound of a classic trombone duo, played by two of the best in the U.K. that’s what is in store for this evening.
Gordon continues to be one of the most respected players of the instrument. Not only is he lead trombone with the famous John Wilson Orchestra and BBC Big Band but also Trombone Professor at the Royal Marines School of Music, Portsmouth.
Also a top class trombonist, Chris has an early military background to his career with a spell at the Army School of Music, Kneller Hall. In 1996 he took on the leadership of the Syd Lawrence Orchestra which has continued to thrive under his direction.
If we were to include details of all the stars our two leading musicians have played with we would almost fill this programme.
