Aurelie Tropez (Clarinet)
Alan Barnes (Saxophone)
Mark Edwards (Piano)
Piers Clark (Rhythm Guitar)
Steve Thompson (Bass)
Bobby Worth (Drums)
Making her first visit to “Jazz at the Village“, Aurelie from Paris started playing the clarinet at the young age of 8 and her debut in jazz came just five years later. Her studies of many of the great players of the clarinet, such as Jimmy Hamilton, Benny Goodman and Bunny de Franco to name just three has enabled her to create a very personal style of playing, embodying both the influences of New Orleans style and swing.
Aurelie has performed in most European countries and can be heard on many of the best recordings. She is joined on this occasion by five of our top musicians so expect a treat.
