WEDNESDAY 7th AUGUST “SWERVED ELLINGTON” THE NEGLECTED ART OF THE DUKE. THE CHRIS COULL SEPTET WITH SARA OSCHLAG Chris Coull (Trumpet); Gabriel Garrick (Trumpet); Sara Osschlag (Vocals); Julian Nichols (Saxophone): Tim Wade (Trombone); Dan Sheppard (Bass); Bobby Worth ( Drums). For this evening and new to Jazz at the Village, we have booked this south cost septet albeit that their will be some familiar faces on stage. Hove based arranger and composer Chris Coull leads the septet and for sure he will be presenting and interesting programme of his interpretations of familiar and less played numbers from the vast Ellington catalogue. With a great voice, Danish born vocalist Sara has been a professional singer for sixteen years and has performed all over the U.K., extensively in Europe also the U.S.A.
