Introduced to jazz by her uncle when she was just 13, Denise was “discovered” by a friend outside her home in Philadelphia. She has followed the styles of the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Nina Simone and Carmen McCrea. She has performed worldwide during her career with superb interpretations of both the melodies and lyrics associated with the great ladies of jazz, a splendid entertainer accompanied by three top class musicians.
