Andy Dickens (trumpet) and Trevor Whiting (sax and clarinet)
Andy’s lively trumpet and flugelhorn playing will bring the warmth and exuberance of Mardi Gras and New Orleans music on a cold winter’s evening. Trevor Whiting is one of the most in demand reed players on the British Jazz scene. He combines masterful, spontaneous improvisation with a rich sound that makes his lyrical playing both exciting and beautiful. He has been a member of the Big Chris Barber band, and was formerly in Clare Teal’s band and features on her early recordings.
Our two soloists will be accompanied by the Jonathan Vinten Trio. A must for our Dixieland and New Orleans fans!
